During our tours and activities, we make a conscious commitment to safeguarding the environment by implementing measures aimed at minimising negative environmental impacts and others that increase positive environmental impacts, namely reducing pollution, waste and greenhouse gas and carbon emissions.

At our picnics and other meals, we don’t use disposable plastic products, and we avoid using plastic water bottles. We use local products and work preferably with local partners who provide us with local, sustainably produced and/or organic products.

Our tours are local, regional or national. Flights are not included. We encourage sustainable travel, giving preference to public transport such as trains. Some clients already choose to travel by these means in Portugal or to reach the country when travelling from other European countries, avoiding the use of the airplane. The journey itself is part of the experience.

We make a habit of including local transport for our clients, avoiding the unnecessary use of additional vehicles.

We practise defensive, responsible and careful driving. In this way we reduce emissions and the wear and tear on our vehicles.

Our car is a classic. We are not apologists for the consumerist tendencies of the car market. We try not to feed an industry that requires too many natural resources and is extremely polluting, increasingly resorting to the use of plastics, lithium-ion batteries and electronic circuits. The exploitation of these resources destroys the natural landscapes on which we depend.

We adopt the philosophy of reuse. We are rigorous when it comes to maintaining our vehicles and turn to the spare parts market whenever necessary, in order to minimise the impact of their use and extend their useful life.

With technological advances, we foresee a medium-term transition towards less polluting vehicles and more sustainable construction.

We work in network because we believe that this way we can stimulate circular economies and, in a spirit of co-operation, we can achieve each other’s objectives more easily, providing better and more complete services and experiences for our clients.

Most of our programmes take place in low-density areas, where there has been rural abandonment for decades and where there is a lack of job opportunities. The development and promotion of tourism in these territories, especially when networked, encourages a reversal of this negative trend.

We are active members of the Wild C么a Network.

Through our activities, we are financially supporting habitat management and conservation actions, which promote the coexistence and return of wild species to the Greater C么a Valley, under the responsibility of Rewilding Portugal.
